Welcome back to school!
There is a lot going on this half term, and what a great time we'll have! We just can't wait for Christmas performances and the Christmas fayre. Plus, a visit to the always-wonderful Christmas play at The Dukes in Lancaster; this year it's Beauty and the Beast!

In English we are going to start the term by looking at traditional stories from other cultures. You can read and listen to so many stories by using this World Stories website. It's a great goldmine of unfamiliar stories!

On top of that, our exciting curriculum will take us to new countries, and much new learning.
This is a decibel meter, for measuring sounds. We'll be using one in our science lessons this half term. Why not take it around the house to find the loudest machines (or people!) in your home?
