Over the past two weeks, Key Stage 2 have been out and about around Lowgill and Lancaster.
We walked across the fields to our Church, following a route planned in the classroom, and sketched the building and surroundings. Inside the Church we had a good look at nthe main features.
This was really good background for when we visited Lancaster this week. We walked down to the Cathedral, from Williamson Park (picking up conkers galore on the way!) and looked around inside. We thought it was magnificent and we spotted many similarities and differences to our own Church.
Then we went into town. Not to shop, as the girls wanted, but to carry out a survey on land use in the town centre.
Here are some pictures of our trip.
