Week one - welcome Year Two!

Date: 31st May 2016 @ 11:28am

Welcome to Key Stage Two, Year Two!

This week, Year Two are spending the week in Key Stage Two, and finding out what it will be like for them next year. We are going to have a FANTASTIC week learning together.

Our theme this week is Euro 2016, the football tournament that starts at the end of the week! 24 countries from all across Europe are coming together in France to compete, and we are going to celebrate those different countries in all sorts of ways.

This afternoon we are going to get coding!
I made this football game, but I'm sure it could be better! How would you improve it?
We are going to debug, tinker, and improve. Let's get collaborating.

We have had a wonderful day creating and crafting some excellent poems based on the European Championships. Why not pop into the school hall to have a look at some of our poems?
We have also been working hard to create animations and computer games based on football. Watch out for the finished products in the next few weeks!

Today we carried out an investigation in Science. Can you remember what investigation means?
We wanted to see what was the bounciest ball and the bounciest surface. The results are in; what did you find out? Look at the pictures from our investigation below.
