Key Stage 2 Trip to Morecambe

Lesson: History

Class: Key Stage 2 Year: 2018 - 2019

Following our recent History topic - The Railways - We decided to use local transport and test out the trains! Year 3 and 4 left Wennington station in the morning and headed to Morecambe. We had a fantastic journey on the train, it took us about 45 minutes to reach Morecambe. Whilst we were at the station we looked at timetables and worked out how long it would take us to get there. In Morecambe the sun was shining though it was a little breezy. We had a wonderful walk down to the Eric Morecambe statue, visited Soul Bowl and tested our skills out on the lane, enjoyed a fish and chip lunch, had a play on the playground and even managed to squeeze in time for an ice-cream. The children had a long wait at Morecambe train station as the train was delayed, which gave us more time to check out the timetables. A fantastic day by the sea!
