Design Technology

At Tatham Fells CE School, Design Technology is a taught with great appreciation for our ever changing world. The children develop creative skills, technical skills, practical skills and entusiasm for real life problem solving.

The children are taught to evaluate existing products and use this knowledge to design, make and evaluate their own products. We take a cross curricular approach in Design Technology and carry out tasks using our Mathematics, Science, Computing and Art skills.

Our curriculum content covers:

  • Mechanisms,
  • Textiles,
  • Structures,
  • Cooking and Nutrition.
